friday flowers
If having fresh flowers each week cost me more than $10, I don’t know if I would be so agreeable to it. But since finding this vendor at the Venice Farmers’ Market who sells these incredible, long-lasting bouquets for just $6, I’ll make a trip over there on Friday mornings even if I don’t need any produce (I like the Mar Vista market for food because they have a wider selection and better prices – and often better attitudes – than the Venice market, but all their flowers are prohibitively expensive). I generally steer clear of cut flowers like daisies or roses because they’ll only last a few days at most before they start to wilt, but the eucalyptus, bird of paradise, and protea stems stay beautiful all week long, especially if they get some regular misting.
